Our Golf Tournament is named after two of our most distinguished Brothers; former Rock Hill City Councilmen, Osbey Roddey, and the Late Winston Searles. These men have been great examples for all citizens of York County and especially to all men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

In 1980, Brother Searles was one of the first 2 Blacks elected to the Rock Hill City Council (Frank Berry was the other). Brother Roddey was the third Black elected to the council.

Both men served over 20 years on the City Council; Searles served for 27 years while Roddey served for 24 years. They served on the city council together for 18 years
